Imperialism related to monopoly capitalism

The Imperialism according to the dictionary is the policy of extending the authority of a nation over foreign countries and the monopoly capitalism is a type of capitalism in which the big companies rule an example in Mexico could be Telmex, well you may be wondering the relation between those two, that what I’m about to explain.

The relation could be that in monopoly capitalism big companies have great power so with the Imperialism they try to extend though the country or to the world to have more power, also Vladimir Lenin defined Imperialism as the most advanced state of capitalism.
